The hub is a tool that Iberdrola uses to streamline, promote and coordinate innovation projects on smart grids.
The facilities you will see will include:
Smart Cities Laboratory: Network digitalization
MV and LV network digitalization is the basis for building the Smart City of the future and to achieve in the most efficient way the decarbonization goals related with the electrification at the client level, such as the urban mobility.
Digital Factory laboratory: The connected worker and the automation/robotization of the operations
The digitalization of the network is complemented with the Smart Worker who will carry out the work in the field with a greater safety and efficiency level, connected and using robotic tools.

Smart Substation laboratory
Smart and sustainable substation.
The new smart substation consists of the development of a pioneering comprehensive substation control system, based on IEC 61850, which guarantees safety and efficiency in the complete cycle, from design and construction to operation and maintenance.

We’re upgrading our systems, and this includes changes to our customer and member account log in, MyIET. It’s part of our big picture plan to deliver a great experience for you and our wider engineering community.
